Our Review -

At first, we weren't sure if Fourth Wing could live up to all the hype, but it totally blew us away. We zipped through the book way faster than we thought we would. The world-building is captivating without being too much, and the stakes feel real. Characters are faced with life-or-death situations and tough choices, and the plot keeps you guessing. Violet, the main character, really struck a chord with us. She's not some flawless hero; she deals with self-doubt and the doubts of those around her, which makes us cheer for her to prove them wrong. Her smarts and strength come across as very relatable. The dragons are a highlight for us—they have their own unique personalities, are a bit sassy, and really add to the story. When it comes to the romance, it's done exceptionally well. The relationship unfolds slowly, with a natural tension that feels authentic. The banter and chemistry between Violet and Xaden are believable, and we found ourselves caring about their personal growth as much as their love story. The ending hit us hard, and we’re still thinking about it. We jumped right into the second book right after!
