Our Review -

We don’t come across hidden gems very often that we want to revisit multiple times, but this is definitely one of those rare finds. We were completely captivated by the story and really enjoy the characters. It offers a fresh take on the shifter genre with some extra layers that make it stand out! The character dynamics are fantastic. The main character, Genesis, is on a journey of self-discovery as she comes of age and seeks her soulmate—the one wolf destined for her. However, when she arrives at school, she discovers that it’s the alpha’s son who ends up rejecting her. This is a crushing blow for both Genesis, the human, and her wolf side. Thankfully, her friends are there to lift her spirits and help her become who she’s truly meant to be! What a fantastic story! We adored the moment Genesis meets the amazing Lycan. He turns out to be the true love of our dear Genesis. He’s not just a strong and attractive hero; he’s also fun-loving and attuned to her feelings. These two characters are simply delightful. Every great story has supporting characters that enhance the main ones, and this tale is packed with them, adding so much depth! We loved the unexpected twists and the thrilling action throughout. This is a definite must-read and is going on our list of books to enjoy more than once!

The Alpha’s Fated Choice by Jaymin Snow
I was defeated.
The woman who beat me was kissing my fated mate—the same man who’d left me breathless days ago, only to pull back and say he was engaged.
Perfect. No one wants a “no-wolf” outcast cursed by her bloodline.

For what?
Love... or the key to his revenge?
If he knew the power I’m hiding—he’d never let me go.

Marked By Rejection by Avery Stone
At eighteen, my life should have ended with the last beat of my bleeding heart, but instead, a scorching press of lips ignited a mark that resurrected me into a world of shadows.
Alas, my survival proves to be a curse. I'm thrust into a pack I’ve never heard of, where arrogant Alphas — with antihero tendencies, dominating chiseled bodies, and mysterious ranks — wrestle for control. I’m nothing here, and it turns out I beat death only to be rejected.
I'm exiled and abandoned, left to die at the hands of whichever predator discovers me first. Only I'm found by the chief's son, Alpha Killian — a man who carries the exact same mark as I.
I've discovered a loophole, and instead of being slain by this cold, merciless man, he decides I'm a worthy gamble. My flesh is deserving of his tender caress, my lips soft enough for his dominating hunger. My body is strong enough to handle his punishments, while my shattered heart summons my hidden talents.
I'm Killian’s secret weapon, but in order to survive, I have to promise him one thing:
I must never be a submissive wolf again.
The Alpha's True Mate by Jaymin Snow
Unlike other werewolves, I never wanted a mate.
I would rather teach stupid mortals than inherit my family business as my father wished. Because I hated my blood.
But I met her, in a bar, on a chaotic night. She's so distinguished, and her scent drove me crazy.
With all my strength, I forced myself to leave because I didn't want to entangle this innocent girl in my abyss. But she reappeared in my class.
Loving her seemed to have already been written in my genes, and I couldn't resist her no matter how hard I tried.
She kindled my life, melted my frozen heart, and made me picture our future.
Until my father broke the illusion. I had to reject her to protect her.
It took me five years to forget her and persuade myself that she deserved someone better, and only one second to fall for her again.
But was it a wise choice to drag her back into my troubles when she already had her new life and a lovely baby...?
Reject Me by Kel Carpenter & Aurelia Jane
“Markus Del Reyes, I reject you.”
He left me no choice.
I refuse to spend the rest of my life with my childhood bully for a mate. I may be a cursed shifter, incapable of shifting—but I wasn’t desperate.
Not till the Alpha Supreme cast me out of the House of Fire and Fluorite for rejecting his son.
Now I’m packless.
Homeless.
No longer under the protection of a House.
Until the dark vampire king of Blood and Beryl turns his sights on me.
In return for protection from my former House, I have to become his fake mate.
I'll be a queen and a fraud.
It's a treacherous lie to live—and I find myself forgetting what’s real and what’s not with every stolen touch and heated kiss we share.
What starts as a business arrangement turns complicated when my heat hits, and the king insists on being the one to help me through it.
I’ve lost everything for doing what I know is right, but the greatest danger I ever faced was never losing my life … it was opening my cursed heart.
Rejected by Jaymin Eve
My father made a terrible mistake. One I’m left paying for.

As a wolf shifter growing up in a strong pack, I should be living my best life. But after my father tried to kill our leader, I’m labelled an outcast, traitor, less than dirt.

When I can't take pack life any longer, I run, but apparently they don't like losing their punching bag.
Torin, the leader’s son, drags me back before my first shift... a shift that will reveal my true mate. I never could have predicted who mine would be, but the moment my wolf looks upon him, I’m filled with hope for a brighter future.

Afterall, no one ever rejects their true mate, right?

Wrong. Very wrong.

When the wolves attack, my soul screams for vengeance, and somehow I touch the shadow world.
Somehow I bring him to our lands.

The Shadow Beast. Our shifter god. The devil himself.

Turns out being rejected by my mate was only the beginning.
Wolf Tamer by Lola Glass
MEETING MY FATED MATE WAS MAGICAL.
Then he rejected me, threw me in the trunk of his car, and sold me into a backwater fighting club full of rabid werewolves.
My pack and family have no idea I'm in danger and my inner-wolf is still crying over the guy who rejected me, so I'm on my own.
At least I think so, until I realize I have the ability to tame rabid shifters.
But I have no idea how to use it--and accidentally end up with a dozen crazed wolves protecting me like I'm their favorite chew toy.
The only other sane trapped werewolf is a sexy, infuriating jerk who calls himself Knockout. He might be my ticket out of the fight club, but I don't know if I can trust him.
And even if I can, those dozen werewolves who think I'm theirs to protect?
They're not letting go.
I have to find a way out before I get too attached to the rabid wolves around me…
Especially Knockout.
Or the gift that's keeping me alive just might become my undoing.
Mave Fortune by Elizabeth Dear
When my family left our small, ultra-conservative pack back in Utah to join a giant pack in Northwest Louisiana, I thought I'd be able to coast through my last year of high school in semi-anonymity, then get the fuck away from wolf pack politics and just live my life for awhile.
But the Moon decided to prolong my torture by placing my fated mate in front of my face on my first day at Blackstone Academy. He's the Alpha's son and king of a school crawling with shifters, and it turns out he doesn't care to be saddled with a Moon-chosen mate who he thinks is a nobody omega wolf. When he rejects me in front of every shifter in school, I vow to harden my heart, become impervious to the constant, deep hurt of the rejection, and figure out how to be the first wolf in known history to shake the taint of a rejected fated mate bond.
I'm also becoming closer to a new student—a smoking hot and intriguing human, who I can't manage to scare off even with the drama that surrounds me and the poisonous pack politics that I can't seem to escape. I can't even tell him what's really going on, but I think he's keeping secrets from me, too.
I'm Mave Fortune, and my mate threw me out like yesterday's garbage. But fuck that guy.
Moon Touched by Elizabeth Briggs
My fated mate rejected me—and now I've been captured by someone even worse.

As the half-human outcast of the Cancer pack, I've been beaten and bullied my whole life. Gaining my wolf form and my fated mate is my only chance to change packs and hope for a better life.

Except when my fated mate is revealed, he's the future alpha of the Leo pack—our worst enemies. He rejects me in front of everyone, just before the Leos slaughter my entire pack and murder my family.

I manage to escape, but then I'm kidnapped by a far greater threat: the alpha of the mysterious lost pack. The 13th sign was banished from the Zodiac Wolves years ago, and I thought they were just a myth.

They're real. They're holding me captive. And the dark, dangerous alpha is offering me something I can't refuse—revenge.

Rejected Queen by Avery Stone
His lips finish devouring yours, leaving you speechless.

Mere seconds ago, you were complete strangers, but now, under the moonlight, he’s everything to you: friend, lover, partner in all things dangerous in these lands of shadows and deceit.

You trust him.

He looks into your eyes, anticipation building as your lips are centimeters from his. All you need is his answer, the words that will make you his...forever.

He smiles with grace and whispers,

“I reject you.”

Heart shattered, you watch him walk away with his devil’s grin, knowing you’ll be broken for eternity while he moves on to another deemed worthier. Little does he know that a crown sits heavily on your head, one that gives you power, control, and the opportunity for you to meet him again.

Today you’re spurned and forgotten, but that won’t be the case forever. You’ll rise from the ashes and sit upon the throne he’s desperate to claim.

You won’t be a Rejected Queen forever.
To Reject a Mate by Poppy Ireland
Welcome to Redwood University, where the creatures that go bump in the night really do exist… and they’re hiding in plain sight.

Attending a small college in the middle of nowhere was never my plan, but when I was offered free tuition and the promise of an excellent education, that plan changed.

It would’ve been nice to know I would be one of the only humans on campus.

It’d be even better if a certain bossy shifter didn’t claim me as his fated mate.

Alexei is arrogant, acrimonious, and the worst A-word of them all: an alpha.

But I can’t deny the way my body responds to him. No matter how many warning flags are waving around in my head, we gravitate toward one another. It’s primal. Passionate.

Painful.

Because regardless of what the fates think, or the supposed destiny we share… Alexei and I could never be.

So, if Alexei won’t reject our bond… I’ll have to do it for him.
Rejected by The Alpha Heir by Flora R. Leigh
He claimed me, left me pregnant, and chose another.
My ex-fiancé was a cold, ruthless alpha who tortured his fiancée's heart for six month.
Hopeful smiles and carefully prepared meals only brought verbal and emotional violence. He even taught his friends to call me " burden" And swore to his father that he would never marry me.
Now, I have a perfect life and noble profession in human society. Friends and family surround me like stars around the moon.
I'll never go back to the pack, never go back to him.
Even if he rejects his new mate and begs on his knees.
Even if he is my daughter's father.
Untamed by E.M. Moore

Unwanted.

Dismissed.

Cast away by their mate, the renounced are directed to attend university together by the Pack Council to salvage what’s left of their shattered lives. The objective? Reform, impress, or get the hell out.

There’s no room in the packs for wolves who don’t conform. Who can’t breed future heirs.

With living feral, a.k.a. certain death, as the only alternative, the rejects need to win back their true mate before they’re banished from the packs forever.
Darkest Mate by Alexis Calder
Weakness means death. Or worse.
After I was abandoned as a child, I was taken in by the Shadow Pack. A group of ruthless, lawless, shifters who have only one rule: never let anyone see your weakness.
In exchange for them keeping me alive, I owe them. The leader of the Shadows is as handsome as he is ruthless. And he’s offered to wipe my debt in exchange for marriage. He’d offer protection, but it would cost me my freedom.
Survival in the Shadows depends on back alley deals and shady alliances. It’s become a way of life that I stopped questioning years ago. When a routine burglary goes wrong, I find myself captured by the one family I never should have crossed.
The Umbra family owns this city. They make us Shadow wolves look like the good guys. They should have killed me for my crimes, but there’s a tiny problem… It turns out Madoc Umbra is my fated mate.
Instead of killing me, I’m a prisoner. The rest of the family doesn’t know of our bond and I intend to keep it that way. Madoc’s brothers want to end my life; he wants to break the bond. I just want to get the heck out.
As long as I don’t let them see any weakness, I might have a chance of making it out of here alive.

Wolf Marked by Alexis Calder
They tried to break me. Now I’m going to break them.

Cursed to never shift, the only thing I was looking forward to about the First Moon Ceremony was that the magic sealing me into Wolf Creek would break, and I could finally leave.

Instead, the ceremony reveals my true mate: Tyler Grant, future leader of my pack and the man responsible for my most recent concussion and black eye. He’s as brutal as he is handsome and fate is cruel to put us together.

There’s a rumor that a mating bond could break my curse and just as I’m getting my hopes up, Tyler destroys them all.

Instead of bonding with my mate, I’m beaten and left for dead.

A hot-as-sin feral shifter finds me and helps me back on my feet. But his help comes with a cost and I’m not sure I’m willing to pay the price.

With my former pack hunting me down, even an enemy might be a better ally than trying to stay alive on my own.
Darkest Moon by Linsey Hall
I’m supposed to be the Alpha's mate. Screw that.
Since I was born, I was destined to be one thing—the Alpha’s Mate. It should be every girl’s dream. Not mine, though. He’s too dark and damaged, and I’ve got a secret he can never know: I’m not a true wolf.
Instead of waiting for him to figure out I’m an abomination, I left on my fifteenth birthday. But I didn’t go far. No way in hell would I let fate drive me from the town I love.
Ten years later, I’m still hiding in plain sight. When I occasionally see him on the street—deadly, sexy, powerful--I just walk by. Keep my head down.
Until that night. Wrong place, wrong time, and suddenly I’m accused of murdering someone from my old pack. And he’s there. Blaming me. I’ve got one chance to prove my innocence and find the real killer, or I'm dead by shifter law.
Fortunately, the Alpha doesn't recognize me because I'm no longer the same ugly duckling. He senses I'm special though, and he won’t stop until he figures out the truth. But when he does, I’ll be in danger from more than just the murderer.
Clayton by Rachelle Mills
The alpha was supposed to be mine. Our fates were decided by the Moon herself, but he chose to follow his own path to a future that didn’t include me.
Accepting my destined mate’s rejection was the hardest thing I ever had to do, and it cost me my pack, my friends, and in the end…my home.
Now, four years later I have to rejoin my old pack, forced to see him love another female. Her scent is mixed into the crevices of his skin, and every breath I take is slowly killing me little by little.
How do you tell yourself not to breathe?
But there’s one more element to this story, something I didn’t count on…and his name is Dallas Valentine.
I’m drawn to him in a way I can’t explain. There’s something about him, about the scent of his secrets that lures me in, tempting my most primal instincts. But he’s not destined for me, and what chance do I stand against fate?
Rejected By My Alpha Mate by Jaymin Snow
I always thought nobody could hate me more than my own mother – till I met my fated mate…
Nobody rejects a fated mate. But mine did.
Half wolf, half warlock, he considers me a disgrace. One he doesn’t want to be linked to.
And with his rejection, he crushed that tiny ember of hope within me. That someone will finally love me.
I try to pull away, to avoid even more heartbreak, but the more I try to stay away, the more entangled I get in this pack and with this alpha who despises my very existence.
But there is something thrumming under the surface of this usually sleepy town, something dark and vicious. There are too many warlocks all of a sudden, another new pack, and I feel like I am being watched.
The worst is yet to come, however.
When one of the Alpha’s mate candidates is found murdered, all eyes turn to me…

The Tyrant Alpha's Rejected Mate by Cate C. Wells
He rejected me, and then he realized I’m the center of his world. Bummer.
Una
I keep my head down. In this backwards pack, females rank low, and my bad leg makes me damaged goods. It doesn’t help that I’ve never shifted. I don’t mind the late twenties single life, though. No one’s paying any attention as I build an illicit farmer’s market empire.
My roomies and I are doing it for ourselves, and if life under Killian Kelly is stifling, at least it’s predictable. We can deal.
But when biology finally kicks in, I lose my mind. I claim our alpha as my mate. And he rejects me in front of the whole pack.
It’s all good. It only hurts when I breathe. I’ll survive. That’s what I do.
Who wants an arrogant jerk for a mate, anyway? I’ve got a business to run.
Killian
To lead this pack out of the dark ages, I’ve had to be hard. Merciless. I don’t flinch, and I don’t make mistakes.
Una Hayes isn’t my mate.
My wolf might have some kind of strange infatuation, but if she were mine, I’d know it. And I can walk away, can’t I?
And if I keep coming back? If she starts living in my head?
I’m the strongest male in five generations. My pack scrambles to do my bidding. I can bring one quiet female back in line. No one can possibly be as stubborn as I am.
There’s no way I’ve ruined the best thing that’s ever happened to me.
I’m the Quarry pack alpha. I don’t lose.
Fractured by Eve Bale
What do you do when your mate teaches you that fate is a curse to be broken?
You run, that’s what.
I dream that my mate will give me the home I never had. Will give me the life I never had.
One day, my dream comes true. The finding-my-mate part. That’s it.

Now I’m stuck with a mate who’s already taken. One who views me as worthless, and who never lets me forget it. Every. Single. Day.

As an omega, I never had a place in my pack. It doesn’t take me long to learn that I don’t have one with my mate either.

I might just find one in Winter Lake. If my mate doesn’t track me down, and if the alpha of the pack that shouldn’t exist doesn’t learn what and who I am.

But staying is impossible. Not in my condition.
Only, the brown-eyed shifter who saves me is making it harder to remember all the reasons I can’t stay.
When you break your curse, where do you run? Who do you run to?
